CCA’s Design is a TEAM approach and every member of the team has the responsibility for the success of any project. CCA will provide the leadership, talent and proven ability to take on any design task and do it with pride.
Philip Carhuff
ARCHITECT
Philip Carhuff brings to the practice a wide range of design talent and problem solving expertise in the educational design field. Philip started his career in New York for award winning educational facility architecture firms such as Pei Cobb Freed and Partners and Kaeyer, Garment & Davidson. Coupled with that experience, CCA has grown to be a local leader in producing cost effective and attractive educational facilities through Philip’s design leadership and skill in managing budgets and schedules for over twenty Southern Arizona school clients.
Philip is also an accomplished construction contract manager and has proven his talent in that phase by repeatedly limiting or negotiating change orders on projects within 1% to 5% of original contract sums. Philip owes his success in maintaining budgets to his skills as a project estimator as well. Philip’s detailed in-house project estimates during design for the last dozen years have met every bid price within 3-5% with the bid. The bids usually come in LOWER than estimated.
Philip is very effective in maintaining excellent communication and relations between the Owner, Contractor and Design Team which translates into successfully completed projects with no claims. CCA maintains a talented staff with very low turnover.
